In this episode, Adam speaks with Neil Powell, co-director of The London Project, a Gospel-driven initiative uniting and strengthening churches across London.

Neil shares his journey of faith, from becoming a Christian in London to planting churches in Birmingham, and returning to help bring together 250 Gospel-centered churches from over 50 nations. They explore how historic congregations, diaspora communities, and new church plants are uniting to form one Church, modeling the Gospel’s power to reconcile.

Kingdom Collaboration in London: A Partnership for Training Ministry Leaders

At Story Church London, we’re passionate about the gospel and believe it thrives when churches work together. That’s why we’re so excited to be partnering with The London Project to train and equip ministry leaders across London. Together, we’re working toward a future where collaboration, unity, and gospel-centered impact define the church in this incredible city.

London is a vibrant, diverse, and influential place—but it’s also a city with immense spiritual need. The vision of The London Project aligns beautifully with what’s on our hearts at Story Church: to see churches, ministries, and leaders united in bringing the hope of Jesus to every part of this city. Through training, mentoring, and equipping, this partnership is all about empowering leaders to serve their communities and work together for something bigger than themselves.

We can’t talk about this partnership without expressing how thankful we are for the amazing leaders who have encouraged and supported us along the way. Dr. Neil Powell, Alex Brito, and Girma Bishaw have each played a vital role in inspiring and guiding us. Their combined wisdom, passion, and dedication to unity in the church have been a constant source of encouragement. From casting a vision for Kingdom collaboration to developing the next generation of leaders and modeling gospel reconciliation in a diverse city, these three men have deeply impacted our ministry.

For all of us at Story Church London and as a family the journey of planting a church has been made so much richer by these kind of partnerships. The encouragement, prayers, and support of these leaders have been a gift to us, and we’re so thankful for their investment in our ministry.

Looking ahead, we’re excited about what God will do through this partnership. By working together with The London Project, we believe we’ll see leaders raised up who are ready to meet the spiritual needs of this city. Together, we can create a culture of collaboration that goes beyond individual churches and focuses on the shared mission of making disciples who make disciples.

If this vision resonates with you, we’d love for you to join us. Whether you’re a ministry leader, a church member, or someone curious about faith, there’s a place for you in this story. Let’s work together to see lives changed and communities transformed by the gospel.
