WELCOMED IN LONDON

THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who has prayed for us and walked with us on this journey! We have been so encouraged and are so thankful that God's allowed us to make this jump across the pond. He has sustained us every step of the way! As we've mentioned before the journey through support raising, VISAS, Laura being pregnant, Lucy getting adjusted, saying goodbye to family in the states, and even down to the details of flights God has graciously sustained us.

We wanted to update you that we have now landed in London and have been welcomed tremendously! Our journey over, saw many small answered prayers along the way from Lucy sleeping on the plane to all our luggage arriving.

We were welcomed at Heathrow by two of the pastors from Westminster Chapel. We had an angel of a luggage worker who helps us transport all 9 of our checked bags plus others. We arrived to a welcome basket and a temporary flat here at the church meeting new friends. The church graciously has let use a 1 bedroom flat, temporarily, until we can find a larger one in the city.

Many of you have been specifically praying for Lucy to adjust and make little friends along the way. We landed on Thursday afternoon and already that Saturday the 22nd Lucy was attending her first birthday party!

Westminster Chapel

It has also been wonderful to be welcomed by Westminster Chapel. A Commission church and a vital part of what God is doing here in the heart of the city for years. Their team has been incredibly kind, hospitable and welcoming to us.

Since arriving we have been encouraged by folks each step of the way. Helping us with logistics, setting up bank accounts, phones, and even grocery shopping. We could not have foreseen just how much of a blessing their humility and joy has been in these early days. We look forward to being a part of this church body for a season before launching out.

Friends are a gift from God

An unexpected blessing and something we would not have even known how to pray for was time with our dear friends the Agoro’s. Yusuf and Ashley have been friends that have spanned over our time in San Marcos, Dallas, and Austin. They were vacationing here in London, seeing family. The dates of their travel lined up where we got to spend nearly 3 days with them. Their daughter Rose and Lucy are best little friends too. It was such a gift from God to have them here when we arrived. It was as if God was going before us giving us the gift of family here in London as we arrived.

Praising God:

  • Laura had a wonderful first experience with the NHS and the midwife here in London. We have a great hospital and we are really encouraged by this!

  • We are so thankful to have this temporary flat at Westminster Chapel.

  • We are so thankful for our time with the Agoros and other friends here in the city.

  • New friends here at the Chapel helping us learn the city and care for us. We are so thankful especially for little friends for Lucy to play with!

  • God's faithfulness through supporters, and ministry partners in both prayer and finances.

Prayer Requests:

  • Pray for Laura and baby boy as we prepare for his arrival, pray for a name too :)

  • Pray for Lucy to continue to meet new friends here in the city.

  • Join us in praying for Commissions Festival 2023 over 3,000 participants from Commission churches across the world will be gathering for worship and vision. Pray that many people would take next steps in their faith and that God would call many to serve Him in ministry and in the nations.

  • While we are incredibly thankful to be living at Westminster Chapel right now we are still looking for a long term place to rent that is right where God wants us to be. (We have visited 24 rental properties already, many have offers on them already or we have been outbid) This is our biggest and most timely prayer request right now. We have seen God bring us this far in this journey and we trust He will provide in His perfect timing. Please join us in prayer for this.

  • The lostness of this city is palpable and the presence of the nations are everywhere. Pray that our eyes and ears would for opportunities to share the gospel. That we might have a heart for the city with compassion like Jesus. That we might see what the city can be once again for the gospel.

We love you all and are so thankful for your friendship and partnership!

In Christ,

Adam, Laura, Lucy, and TBD Boy :)
